i am a little bit obsessed with velvet at the moment. since seeing alexa chung for madewell's shorts and now twenty8twelves velvet suit.... mmmm i am having a slight craving. topshop unique is like where the wild things are gone mad and i like it! online shopping has never looked so fun!

so i have a bit of a crush on these looks by marc jacobs. the 2 dresses are just damn cute and the fur.... well i'm not going to lie, i might secretly be wishing for winter to hit the streets of sydney soon so i can wear this. as i am wishing this i remember that it is never cold enough in winter to wear fur anyway and there is the other small problem that i cannot afford to buy it even if i wanted to wear it and even if i could afford it i wouldn't get enough wear out of it. the only reasonable solution seems to be to move to alaska where i can wear fur everyday and even live in an igloo, and when i say reasonable i mean completely unreasonable because  lets face it i don't think my new marc jacobs fur  would look too good in an igloo. i've never been the biggest fan of the cold anyway, but i think i am slowly warming to it (he he he).

aghhhhhhhh i love her!!

got my british vogue this morning.... $20 later. how can a magazine be so expensive when it is only worth 4 pound in the UK? (thats only $7.50 AUD) oh well im not complaing! i've got my mag now and couldn't be happier.

i'm loving alexa's hair in these pictures. it looks exactly like mine.... or mine looks exactly like hers, whatever i love it and as any one who reads this blog knows. i love her. now off to try and find some pics of her at the mulberry dinner.

so here are some good photos of alexa chung for madwell.

she debuted her collection for Madewell at an off-site location, choosing to parade her pieces as a live photo shoot where models lounged around amongst vintage suitcases, bunches of flowers and a bicycle as cute props. the collection spans super-short shorts, velvet jumpers with peter pan collars, schoolboy blazers, prairie skirts, washed-out denim work shirts, polka dots, stripes amnd all perfectly alexa.

the only question now is whne is it available? i will be checking shopbop everyday.
